Announcement: Live Now: Individual Products!

All Drinks For Sale Individually

As you probably know by now, when the lockdown was announced back in March we were a few weeks away from opening. We put a pause on things whilst we waited to see what would happen and by mid-April it was more than clear this lockdown would be for the foreseeable future. With bills still needing to be paid, we set up a web store so we could offer weekly deliveries to the local area.

The ‘Lucky-Dip’ style Beer Bags have been a massive success and have allowed us to offer some exceptional beverages whilst providing a bit of fun and excitement for you. It also helped us get to grips with the logistics of running an online store by keeping our product range focused.

Now though, like when we were able to expand our delivery range, we’re in a position to move forward again. We’re pleased to announce that all beverages are now for sale individually!

This is as exciting for us as it is you not only because it gives you a greater choice on what drinks you want, it also allows us to get hold of beers that:

  1. Are a bit more expensive and wouldn’t have been sold in the Beer Bags

  2. Stylistically wouldn’t fit into a Beer Bag - e.g. Lagers, Stouts, no/low abv. etc.

We’re still keeping the Beer Bags running, as this lets us take care of choosing a range of beers for you and we still have the minimum £20 for free delivery.

Here’s some of the beers that are now available:

Exale - Krankie Iron Brew Sour (4.2% - 440ml)

An exercise in sensory trickery and nostalgia. A rich traditional malt bill gives you all the caramel sweetness you’d expect from the soft drink, then a natural souring process gives you the tang, that’s then followed by the unmistakable flavour of the Scottish classic.

Thornbridge Brewery x North Brewing Co. - North Bridge Mountain IPA (7.2% - 440ml)

Collaboration between Thornbridge Brewery and North Brewing Co. Inspired by both West Coast bitterness and East Coast softness. This Mountain IPA takes the middle ground between the two ubiquitous IPA styles.

Buxton Brewery - Moor Top (3.6% - 330ml)

An absolutely stunning and sessionable beer. I even featured it in a BLOG POST about beers that I fell in love with.

Moor Top is a classic drinking pale English bitter, perfect for quenching your thirst after a day in the High Peak.

Gipsy Hill x Gorilla Brewing Co. - Noraebang (5% - 440ml)

Hibiscus Rice Lager. Noraebang is a collaboration between Gipsy Hill and Gorilla Brewing Co. in South Korea. Gorilla have taken their national flower, Hibiscus, and put its pink hue, and sweet and sour flavours into a rice lager. They’ve sourced the best rice to make a clean, light flavoured lager that matches the beautiful delicate notes of the hibiscus so well.

Further Ahead

We’ve still got a few things we’re working on:

  • Real Ale - The key part of any micropub is having great cask ale available. Whilst building work had still to be finished we hadn’t been able to provide this. However, with work in the cool room very nearly finished we can soon start offering beer freshly poured from the cask in 2 and 4 pint cartons.

  • Click and Collect - As with the real ale, our ability to support click and collect has been hampered by unfinished building work. But with things nearly finished we will offer the ability to collect orders a few days a week as soon as we’re able to accommodate.
